When you order online at sportcourt.uk, we deliver your hoop direct-to-curb, which means it comes directly from our warehouse, off the truck and to your curb so you waste no time getting to those free throws. Use our 5-point checklist below to ensure a smooth delivery of your Mega Slam Hoop.

1 CONFIRM YOUR ORDER

Congrats on ordering your new hoop. Now look for an email that has your order details.

2 SCHEDULE A DELIVERY DATE

Expect to get a phone call from a shipping specialist to arrange your specific delivery date and time. This is also a good time to coordinate with an installer if you’re planning on hiring one.

3 MAKE ROOM

Our basketball systems are big (up to 340 kgs) and the shipping pallet takes up quite a bit of space when delivered. Plan to clear-away a space now, so delivery can go smoothly when it arrives. (Residential orders are curbside delivery)

4 INSPECT YOUR DELIVERY

Based on the size of your order, make sure the correct number of boxes are strapped to each pallet (every system arrives on one pallet with clearly numbered boxes). It’s okay if some of the boxes have dents or are torn. Our systems are rugged and will survive minor damage to the boxes.

4 SIGN TO RELEASE YOUR DELIVERY

Now, your friendly delivery specialist will ask for a signature to release your basketball system. If there is any visible damage to the boxes (or the system), please document the specific damage on the delivery sheet and take photos before you sign.

If any items have been damaged, accept the delivery and immediately contact us. Include any photos within the email and we will expedite delivery of replacement parts.

Is shipping free?

Our free shipping service is available to the vast majority of UK customers. However, certain UK postcodes do not qualify for our free shipping service and customers in these areas may be required to pay a supplementary delivery fee.

Our current free shipping exclusion zones include postcodes in the following areas (and which is subject to updates from time-to-time): Channel Islands, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly, Scottish Highlands & Islands.

If you cannot complete your purchase at checkout, then this might be due to your postcode falling within one of the free shipping exclusion zone(s). If you encounter this issue, please email support@megaslamhoops.uk confirming your full address details and we will be in touch.

Due to the size and weight of the Basketball hoop systems, delivery is made using a Large Goods Vehicle. When gaining access to your property vehicle access restrictions may apply which could mean additional cost or delivery failure. If you are concerned this may apply to you, then please be sure to email us before you complete your order at checkout.

Is the shipment of my new Mega Slam Hoop insured?

Yes. Your new Mega Slam Hoop is fully insured from the moment it leaves our facility until you sign receipt of delivery. Mega Slam systems are incredibly rugged so unless a box has major damage, the system will be just fine. If any items have been damaged and you have accepted the delivery, immediately contact us. Include any photos within the email and we will expedite delivery of replacement parts.

How many boxes/pallets will there be in my shipment?

The shipping configuration of boxes and pallets varies depending on which system you purchase:

Mega Slam 60” & 72” Basketball Hoop Systems - One (1) Pallet with (3) boxes

The Megaslam Game Light consists of one (1) box, if purchased in conjunction with a Hoop System then this will be included on the one (1) pallet with the hoop system.

Please note that the hoop system components can weigh in excess of 300KG’s.

Is a signature required for my delivery?

Yes, a signature is required for delivery. Once you sign receipt of delivery the shipping company is fully released from any liability.

Make sure to thoroughly inspect the products and indicate any damage before signing the shipping ticket.

How long does it take to receive my new Mega Slam Hoop?

Delivery times are between 3 and 5 working days to UK mainland addresses.

What if my shipment arrives damaged?

Our basketball systems are built to last a lifetime. If a box or pallet is damaged it doesn’t necessarily mean the basketball system inside is also damaged. Fully inspect the shipment and make note of any damage on the receipt before you sign. If you find a damaged piece, list the details of damage on the delivery receipt at time of delivery.
Contact Us immediately by emailing us photos of the damaged parts and signed delivery noting the damage. We cannot ship replacement parts without photos of damage, and delivery receipt.

Unless otherwise specified, all orders are shipped by a common carrier, and are shipped out as advertised brand new and good condition. Basketball systems are delivered for “Curbside Delivery.” Curbside delivery means your items will be placed by the curb at the end of your driveway. If accessible to a heavy goods vehicle and providing your road is adequately flat with space to unload, then we may place the goods just inside your driveway entrance. Please note: the assessment for the unloading of goods, anywhere other than at the curbside adjacent to your property, is conducted by the delivery goods driver. This service does not include setup or assembly of items, or removal of packaging materials.

  • If the shipping address is changed after the shipment has been picked up by the motor freight carrier it constitutes as a re-consignment and additional charges will be applicable.
  • Upon the dispatch of your goods from our distribution warehouse a representative with the shipping carrier will call you to schedule a suitable delivery day.
  • Deliveries are typically made between the hours of 8:00am and 6:00pm Monday through Friday; however, it may be later depending on the delivery driver’s route, distance from the terminal, and possible delays due to unforeseen issues.
  • For retail sales orders, your item should be delivered on a Large Goods Vehicle and should include a hydraulic lift gate/tail lift. The delivery driver’s duty is to remove the order from the trailer and provide curbside delivery. Any requests for additional services will incur extra charges. Therefore, recipients need to double check that the carriers’ delivery receipt to confirm that additional services were NOT performed or notated. If additional services are performed without our knowledge, we reserve the right to bill you as these charges are your responsibility.
  • Mega Slam Hoops is not responsible for goods damaged during transit. Title to the merchandise and risk of loss or damage in transit or thereafter shall pass to Buyer upon Seller’s delivery of the products to a common carrier for shipment to Buyer, regardless of whether Seller will install or supervise the installment of the product.
  • A signature is required for all deliveries. The receiver will be required to sign a delivery receipt and delivery will not occur without it.
  • At the time of delivery, customers should inspect all items carefully, and open if necessary prior to signing for the delivery.
  • All items leave our facility brand new and in good condition. It is the customer’s responsibility to examine and inspect all boxes. Please notate on the delivery receipt any and all damage to the merchandise or packaging.
  • It is the carrier’s responsibility to deliver products in good condition. If the delivery receipt is signed with no exception or damage you release them of all liability.
  • The customer assumes all liability once the customer signs the delivery receipt which states “all goods are being accepted in good order” AS THIS voids the carrier’s liability if a claim is to be filed at a later date.
  • Items damaged during transit are rare, but it is extremely important that you check for possible damage in order to secure a proper settlement from the carrier.
  • Glass backboards can be the most likely to sustain severe damage in transit, so check the backboard carefully.
  • Verify the glass on the backboard is still solid at the time of delivery. Tempered glass does not crack, and is designed to shatter if broken. Therefore, the glass will either be in 1 piece or ~1000 pieces.
  • If the backboard is shattered please do not refuse delivery of the carton. There are additional parts inside the box that will still be good and will be required for system assembly. Please write the following on the delivery receipt, “Backboard shattered at time of delivery”. Simply email us the delivery receipt and photos of damage and we will send a replacement backboard the following business day. In the meantime, you can still set the anchor and allow the concrete to cure while the replacement is in transit.
  • If your shipment seems to be delayed, email us directly support@megaslamhoops.uk
  • Do not refuse delivery if merchandise is damaged. Note any and all damage to the merchandise on the delivery receipt to ensure coverage by the carrier’s liability. Write “Subject to Inspection” next to your name at time of delivery.
  • Please note, if you live down a road, development, or driveway that the delivery truck cannot access, your delivery will not be able to be completed. This may require you to pick up the order at the local terminal or arrange for final delivery yourself.
  • Any shipments returned to sender marked Undeliverable, or otherwise similar nature, are subject to a 20% restocking fee minus any shipping charges incurred by Mega Slam Hoops for the initial shipment to the customer.
